Hi tymmesone ((gentle hugs)) sorry your symptoms are bad today. I'm a little better, but still quite flat and fatigued. From experience, a willing and interested doctor is worth much much more than a doctor who is supposed to know it all. I'm glad you found one - they are like gold. Will keep my fingers crossed you get some answers tomorrow, but remember, don't fret the details. It takes time to absorb and understand the results, nothing is cut and dried with this condition. Hang in there.
Hi EJ, thanks for asking - your email ping notification was the motivation I needed to get up and actually do something. Been fairly flat the past few days but steadily improving. The tremors have almost gone, just fine intermittent ones now. And the pain has gone down to about 0.5 which is great. It's the fatigue and inability to get motivated which is dogging me now.
It's been unseasonally warm here with El Nino starting up again, we've had days of 18C the past week which is not what we would normally have for mid winter. The only bonus is that the plants are behaving more like it's spring than winter and I've got a bumper crop of spinach, beetroot and sugar snap peas. Even the chooks are confused and laying like crazy (mind you they are chickens and easily confused at the best of times).
I've managed to finish off some art, and craft projects too while moping around the house (I've had a week of leave and spent most of it asleep recovering). If you are interested I'd be happy to share the photos.
Can you tell I am trying to keep occupied and not let this awful condition rule my life?
Hi Tog….Just so your reply. So glad to hear things are settling a bit. I hear ya about the fatigue….it takes so long to shake that after an episode.
I really like the pictures. Especially the first one (fresh eggs). I got a real fit of the giggles about your chickens. As far as their confusion, I know that to be the truth. LOL The sugar snap peas look amazing. I love those and they look incredibly healthy. How odd that the weather is that extreme right now. I heard we were getting the El nino bit again this year but still waiting to see how it plays out here.
In all seriousness, we all face the issue of not letting this thing run us. I truly hate when something new pops up too….I don't know what it is, where it's going or what to do about it and some of it is God-awful. And scary. I am so grateful for this site because more often then not, its a choice between scaring people I care about who don't truly get it anyway or getting lost in my own head about what is going on.
If you feel like sharing, I'd love to see some of your art. Hang in there and feel good.
I’m so sorry. I’m in a similar position at the moment…but with different crazy symptoms.
I have some numbness in my left foot, but my pod. Thinks it is Morton’s Neuroma. Had nerve conduction test and it was neg. I might have to have a small fiber test. Have you had that?
Anyway, I hope you feel better soon. This illness is more difficult and tricky than most docs realize.
