Now that the weather is beginning to warm, what have you been looking forward to doing?

I'm looking forward to taking off at least a layer or two of clothing, opening the windows, going to the nursery and buying some flowers and shrubs to plant with the grandkids, and being outside longer than to dash in and out of the car! What about you?

It's already shorts weather some days here....big contrast to last week. I have been pulling weeds and playing with the dogs in the back yard.

SK...you hit almost all of my favorite things. Certainly the ones that make me most upbeat. I will add swimming, walks on the beach and bbqs.

I'm in Florida, so most days are enjoyable . . . although winters do get cold in Northern Florida. I am praying that now that I've started some form of treatment for Sjogrens I may have the energy soon to go out and golf. Something I love, but haven't done in years!!! Then, some work in the yard and time at the pool with my daughter/son-in-law and grand daughter. And lots of walks to try stay ahead of this!

I currently have the flu (the second disease of this kind in 4 weeks) and the weather is unstable, but I'm looking forward to spending more time in my yard and to taking some walks. I would like to take some pictures of the early Spring flowers. I love photographing, it's a kind of "yoga" for me - but I didn't take any pictures these last months, it isn't a good sign...
In fact I really need some Sun.
My car, from its side, needs urgently to be washed...

It was beautiful here today, I was up early and on the boards on various BF groups, spent 5 hours here, decided to take a 30 minute nap before going out in the yard, and ended up sleeping into the evening! ha! So much for my plans of going outside!

I see my Rheumatologist on Monday, and I think of all the years I've been going there, it has rained (as in poured) each and every time but one, so sure enough t-storms are in the forecast, so I'll be hobbling in! Oh well, he might as well see me at my worst!

Hi Guilia,

Sorry to hear you have been down with the flu! This is the very first winter in a LONG time that I haven't spent at least a month or two with the flu or bronchitis! Usually it's brought here by one of the grandkids. I suppose I would have to attribute this success to the fact that for the first time I had a flu and pneumonia shot.

Yes, the weather is unstable here too, freezing rain one day and warm and sunny the next, but that's spring!

I hope you can get out from under the flu and the weather grows more and more inviting for us!

Take good care of yourself! Good to hear from you!

BTW, I have always wanted to visit your country! I adore your people and would love to see some of your old cities! It's on my wish list!

Wishing you well,

SK

Hi SK,

thank you so much for your kind words and for the positive attitude you inspire.

All the best,

Giulia

Wow Giulia, is that Venice? It does rain a lot there, correct?

What a beautiful place to live. I love the picture, did you take it?

As for me, I look forward to riding my bike (motorcycle). Something my husband and I enjoy together.

Hopefully I will still be able to enjoy this year too.

Mamabear

Wow....gorgeous picture.

Hi Mamabear,

thank you for your kind words... Yes, that's Venice.

I took that photo some years ago with my pocket camera. I was in Venice for work but I couldn't resist to take a look around before starting. Early morning is the best for this purpose.

Rainy weather isn't unusual there, it's true, but tide is the cause of the frequent floods that the local people call "acqua alta" (high water).

Glad to hear from you... Hope you have a great time riding your bike and sharing this pleasure with a person so close to you. I think that's very beautiful.

I wish you all the best.

Giulia

Hi EnjoyLife,

thank you so much :)

Giulia

That really is a good photo, and speaking of that, I just suggested that we have a BF photo contest, and award some prizes! We'll see what happens! Don't worry, if it does everyone here will be the first to know. We'll have to wake up Tog, she is our Australian whale watcher!

Wow, I think it could be very interesting and surprising!

I posted this on the main mod group at 12:40 today, as I had posted this discussion on several of the other groups I volunteer on, and photography was mentioned on all, so I posted this idea 'before I left the room and it left my mind'! ha! All responses have been good so far! Our assybish was all for it, as were several other mods, dancermom thought it a great idea, we'll see what Ben and Scott say! We're discussing details, so this will kick around, all the mods will add their input, and I think it may just happen!

Hi SK,
That sounds wonderful!
Mamabear

With the summer I hate w having lupus Sjogren’s @ Fibormyasgio . I have continue to cover . Or fluid filled blistering caused by sun

Looking forwards to not wearing this winter coat and looking like Barney. Like SK said, fewer clothing. Although it's still cold here and the snow is 'just' starting to go away. I'm hoping to start walking again, once I get my meds straight. The park is so close and calls out to me, 'walk, enjoy the path, relax'. Just don't trip on an acorn this year. LOL.

Hi mic,

I'm sure the sun is very hard on you, having to cover up and avoid direct contact with the rays, especially when it's really HOT! Hope you can get through it.

Good to hear from you!

LOL Roulette, looking like Barney! ha! Barney was the big thing when my granddaughters were little, I NEVER got so sick of a kids character as I did that one!

As if that wasn't enough of a laugh, you throw in your "tripping on an acorn", oh my you sound as graceful as I am! I bet that was one to tell the Doctor! ha!

Keep laughing, girlfriend, it's good for everything!
