Wow, that's a high dosage. They prescribe ganapetin for a number of symptoms. Isn't it an antidepressant?
I know that my gyn prescribed it for my vulvonynia but I never took it because another gyn told me not to take
it. Hope it works for you. I just want to mention that my friend had arm pain that turned out to be stemming
from her neck. She ended up getting her vertebrae fused. At firsts the docs told her she had frozen shoulder.
Did the cortison shot help? My rheu told me that it only works for a few days.
Yes, meeting wih friends alleviates your pressing thoughts about SS!

Sally and 2akl
I had three cortisone shots in my spine and it was not successful. I now get weekly massages and have seen great results. 2akl is right about arm pain coming from neck, try massage and PT and not surgery. I also take Gabapentin 600-900mg at night for neuropathy that my Neurologist prescribed. It can make me really dizzy and off balance many mornings but improves by 10:00ish. It has helped me a lot with shooting pain and tingling in my feet and hands. Accpuncture helps plenty too. So glad your gray clouds has blown away Sally. Michelle
Dear Sally,
I had neuropathy for about a year. I could not wear any clothing that had a seam on the inside of my arms or legs.
Luckily, with accupuncture all that has gone away. It felt like knives were cutting into my skin! All the docs kept telling me
it was dry skin and to put lotion! I had to use cotton sheets with the highest thread count or fleece. Flannel did not work
because it pills which made the sensations worse. It take a while to get over this. I hope that you will feel better soon!!!

I am glad to hear you are doing better…the flairs stink but thankfully they are just that usually. Yay!
2aki- so great to hear that acupuncture works. I have had some relief with massages but it only lasts a few hours. I was literally up all night with those sensations and i am at the point where all I can think is "make it stop!" If something works that well, i am hopeful again. Thank you for the input. I see my rheumy next week. The neurologist can't see me for assessment till next month and I just don't think I can wait that long.
Hello. Just for the record I did not have a “flair” that sounds uninvited. I had a self induced trip to hell! I " induced it" by getting off my alternative medicine and taking Ruemy priscriptions one of which was Gabapentin. I was trying to be compliant as well as hoping to “thaw” out my shoulder. I like the acupuncture suggestion. Is this costly? Because I’ve also been diagnosed with TBI I suffer from left side nuropathy when not on my alternative method. Be live it or not, I am on the road to recovery! I like hearing from everyone. It makes the road less lonely. I use a wonderful natural muscle & nerve pain reliever. That’s all! I will consider acupuncture so that I can get my arm back. But my pain is under control.
I am curious though … Regardless of which route one takes, it sounds like the neuropathy can subside. I get it in the form of sharp prickles, some days worse than others . It’s a definite increase from the occasional pins & needles or numbness I used to get. I wonder if goes in & out like a lot of other things with SS.
Even the PCP told me that it comes and goes. I get the prickles and pins and needles but I try not to get
alarmed. I believe accupuncture helped to alleviate these sensations. There are so many things that come
and go with SS. When they come I seem to lose my appetite and feel that my days are numbered. But, then
they go away and I am back to my usual self. My most pressing concern is the sensitivity to sunlight. Can't wait until winter.

Hello. Its me & my frozen shoulder. Today my friend came over and did all she could to cheer me up. It was working until I had a sever asthma attack. I felt sorry for her. I seem to feel saddest when I am feeling Welles.
