Creatine protein kinase it’s an enzyme that when elevated indicated either acute heart attack or skeletle muscle damage. In my case they ruled out heart long ago, because my cpk is alway elevated and they tested my heart. I hope that helps, but if you need anything,Else answered just ask
Thank you so much! I had not heard of that before.

Teresa,
I have not had Cancer. But I do have an autoimmune thyroid condition called Hashimoto's. If they are looking for autoimmune conditions I expect they are testing your thyroid for auto bodies. When you have low thyroid and auto bodies there, your low thyroid is caused my Hashimoto's. I just have to take a pill every day. I'm supposed to take it in the morning, but you can't have any to eat or drink (except water) for an hour or two and you can have any iron or calcium within 4 hours. I was having to get up in the early morning to take the pill and then go back to sleep. That didn't work very well for me, I was always exhausted. So, I take the pill just before bed and my thyroid numbers are doing well.
I don't know what causes lung scarring. But I do have issues with my lungs. I really try not to get sick. Even a simple case of sinuses can lead to mucus in my lungs. Once my lungs have an issue, it takes a long time to heal and I'm kind of prone to Bronchitis and Phenomena.
Just so you know most people have Sjogrens (SS) for years before even hearing about it and then getting a Dr to diagnose it takes some more times. I've heard there is a new test that's specifically for SS. But until very recently diagnoses has only been based on a group of tests and observations over time (usually at least a yr). I say this just to let you know, even if you do have SS, your Dr may not want to actually diagnose you right a way.
I hope you get some answers soon and you go into remission quickly.
Josh
