Hello from the Mendocino Coast

Hello- I am brand new here, so thank you for allowing me to join your site. I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s a year ago by the rheumatologist I see for my Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (probably hypermobility type, but with aortic involvement). I am 64 years old, an artist, and also have Celiacs, small bowel dysmotility, autonomic dysfunction, and trigeminal autonomic cephalgia (a form of headache). I don’t know why my doctor ordered the Early Sjogren’s Panel (yes, I have dry eyes but who at my age who uses a computer doesn’t?). I think it was because of my debilitating fatigue. While I was waiting for the results of the test, I was put on modafinil, which helped. Then with positive results I was prescribed plaquenil. I have a question about that med but will put it in the right forum. Thanks again and I look forward to sharing this journey with you all.

That’s a nice place to live! Glad to hear that the doctor did the screening. With your history of autoimmune disease it makes sense to screen.

You can start off by entering plaquenil into the search bar on the site. If you have more questions, ask away.
