My rhuemy doesnt want to add to the list of things yet so she is going to do another blood test in a couple of months she said she is sure i have sjogrens syndrome and the blood test were positive. I have plugs in my eyes and mouth wash from the dentist. I see her next month and we are going to do a review of my meds she wants to change some of them. If she gives me one more pill i may scream.
Hey pb,
Though it's nice to have you here, my friend, it's not good to think that one more thing is happening to you. Let me know when you're ready to give out a yell, and I'll join you! Perhaps many will!
Hang in there girl!
Cucumber, spinach, Swiss chard, Red Delicious Apple (this is the type of apple recommended as a cure all, a little more than half), blueberries, a handful of organic unsalted almonds, drizzle raw honey, Aloe juice and Flaxseed oil. This is one of my favorite morning drinks! Sometimes I switch out the honey with a very ripe banana. I also take a Calcium with Vitamin D3 (all veggie based), Artic Krill and .Omega-6 (veggie based). Remember - whatever works for you.
Your juicer can handle the almonds? Meaning the nuts won't wreck it?
It's the Nutri-Bullet not a juicer; it pulverizes the almonds. It's am amazing little machine! I found him on TV infomercial.
I too have a nutribullet that I use for blending juices. For me, I like it for mostly fruit smoothies… But I can only drink little glasses of those. This is an awesome machine! Very powerful. I ended up with a Breville Juicer for Juicing. It takes out pulp. I like the taste better, especially when using vegetables.
Can you please tell me what EBV is?
Wasn't familiar with the acronym. Thank you.

It's the Epstein-Barr Virus, also called human herpesvirus 4 (HHV-4). It's the cause of infectious mononucleosis (glandular fever). :)
All good, I don't know how commonly it's used. I just got in the habit after reading it on my medical notes :)

Had a bout of severe EBV in 2011 and had to take four months off school. After I thought I'd recovered from the EBV, from 2011-2012 I had 20 different acute bouts of sickness (appearing as tonsilitis but not being tonsilitis, viral infections, etc) so it was obvious my immune system was shot. As I also have an anxiety disorder doctors kept assuming my symptoms were psychosomatic, got diagnosed with an adjustment disorder by one GP. Blood tests kept coming back clear so I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome, prescribed lyrica and antidepressants and told I could "Think myself better" despite being housebound due to the severity of my symptoms.
Finally in January I was seeing a new Rheum who did more tests, my ESR was elevated and I had an ANA of 1:80 nucleolar pattern and hypergammaglobulinemia, which all suggested a connective tissue disease and specifically Sjogren's said the Rheum. Was put on a trial of plaquenil, and as it's helped me and is now lowering my ESR, I was given a more confirmed diagnosis of Sjogren's syndrome on the 8th of this month. Altogether took nearly 3 years to get to this diagnosis.Hi Lilacs,
You are one of the lucky ones, only 3 years, great! Do you have Primary Sjogren's?

I know, I'm very lucky to have such a good rheumatologist now who looked past the fact that I don't fit the typical profile, and took me seriously, after my last disaster of a rheumatologist. Yeah apparently I have Primary Sjogren's. :)
