@AndreaO
Hi there, Andrea
Welcome to Sjogren’s Syndrome Support.
It sounds like you have been through more than enough health related issues… and you must feel tired of undergoing tests and receiving new diagnoses! It is my understanding that your Sjogren’s diagnosis was fairly recent. I wonder how you are feeling today. I also wonder if you have noticed any physical differences having said ‘farewell’ to gluten in November?
Please do not hesitate to create your own discussions by clicking the + New Topic tab. We would love to know more about you.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Danielle
Hello (belatedly) and thank you for the welcome email and all the information on here. Yes only recently diagnosed with SS (Mild) but surprised to hear rheumatologist (with stated special interest in SS ) said that Sjogrens couldn’t be connected with my gastric troubles (!) and only affected salivary stuff. Ha ha. Anyway, givingup gluten in December has made a great difference to my Hashimotos and really has not been difficult. I have so far cut down dairy, but failed to stop altogether. I have some LDN to try (once the weather is cooler) as I am hoping it might help my Sjogrens and also stop any further AI diseases developing

Hi Andrea,
Great to hear from you!
I am happy to hear that omitting gluten from your diet has had a positive impact on your physical health. Dairy is a difficult one to quit all together, isn’t it. We will be interested in hearing what you think about Low Dose Naltrexone when you incorporate it into your routine. It sounds like you are doing your best to manage your symptoms. Should anything start to feel overwhelming or out of control, give me a shout and i’ll send you some helpful threads.
I hope you have a great week!
Danielle
