This looks like and interesting read, is recently updated and includes treatment centers.

It lists the underlying causes of Sjogren's as:

Chronic Inflammation

Cellular Apoptosis (death of a cell)

Autonomic Nervous system dysfunction

Neurotransmitter abnormality

Genetic predisposition
