Sudden Nausea

I have had Sjogrens for a few years now. Lately I have been struggling with the fatigue really bad and my glands stay swollen unless I am on Steroids, but for awhile now I have had sudden onset of nasuea that will subside within an hour. The last week or so These onsets will come on very sudden and cause me to to throw up and then I will feel fine again. I have never been one to get sick like that, I never even catch stomach virus’ from my kids. Has anyone else experienced this?

That’s interesting. No chance of pregnancy? I would check in with my doctor during the week. There could be something mechanical going on, rather than viral.

Hi,
I have never had that side effect either…I agree with Stoney. Check it out.

Sorry to hear…it sounds concerning. I'm with the others…go talk to your doctor

Thanks everyone. I am definately going to have it checked out, and btw definately no chance of pregnancy even though that is how it feels sometimes

How did things go with the doc? Did you get to the bottom of what was happening? Wanted to check in and see how you are doing?

Do you still have your gallbladder? I had that issue on and off for years, but I also have migraines and food intolerance issues so I just figured it was that and I'd have to deal with it. Right before Christmas last year I had a horrible attack of gas pain and then spent the next 15 hours so sick I ended up in the ER on morphine and phenergan along with iv fluids. Thy said it was a virus and sent me home. 3 months later exactly the same thing happened. To make a long story short, I ended up having my gallbladder out the next week because me PCP is wonderful and she decided to order the HIDA scan. The surgeon said my gallbladder was so severely inflamed he almost couldn't do it laparoscopic. They think maybe the Sjogrens is to blame for it. Anyway, if you still have your gallbladder, it could be the very early warning. Of course, I still have similar symptoms 2.5 month after surgery, by I've been told it can take a year to fully recover. Fun, fun. Anyway, I just thought I'd throw that out there for consideration. Especially since I had 2 visits to the ER and they kept sending me home and a week later I was having surgery and was in bad shape. I've found we with AI diseases are far from textbook and we make diagnosing anything difficult for doctors and makes us feel crazy.

I had my gallbladder out when I was 16. You are right nothing is text book with us. A few months ago I had so much inflammation in my bladder it kept show a high amount of infection but had it cultured several times, and even went to an urologist and it was just the inflammation all along. My PCP said that glands in your stomach can swell as well that makes your spleen enlarge which can cause the symptoms Im having so guess I will find out. Just seems to be a never ending battle with my own body.
