Yes it is actually very worrying. It bothers me that there are elderly people without anyone to watch out and make sure that they are getting the right medical care.
I was visiting my mother in hospital last year. The consultant stepped into the room and straight away said that she was looking better and could go home. My mother told him that he would do well to read her notes as she had pneumonia and had been told by a different consultant the day before that she was quite poorly and would be staying in for at least another week.
