Has any one experience Tremors? Anyone on Disability due to Sjogrens?

Hi Terry,

I also had severe tremors arms, legs, even my jaw at times at the same time I got severe neuropathy in my arms, legs, hands so was immediately sent to neuro. I was diagnosed with sjogrens and neuropathy which I believe is due to the sjogrens. My neuro put me on gabapentin/neurontin and that stopped my tremors almost immediately but if I go too long between doses my tremors start to come back so I know the meds are the only thing preventing them.As far as disability w/only sjogrens is very difficult too many symptoms, not enough proof or research. Johns Hopkins has a Sjogrens clinic very educational info reguarding neurological problems associated with sjogrens that's the only place I've found substsntial proof the 2 are related. Print it out and look it over it could have the proof you need. I'm pushing more for my neuropathy but will also have the sjogrens proof as well as PTSD my 4 th time went only for PTSD the first 3 this time I'm getting a lawyer. Best of luck to you. Hope this helps.

I m currently seeking disability, just waiting now

I sometimes get tremors in my hands and arms and it is distressing.

I've been out of the Sjogrens discussion circle for several months. looking around, I see you posted ..."Has anyone experienced tremors with Sjogrens" way back on June 9, 2015. I am interested in that subject too. I have had a tremor in my left hand but only when I squeeze my fingers to my thumb. If my hand is not tensed. I have no tremor. It started 3 or 4 years ago. Drs. don't seem alarmed. I'm right handed so it isn't bothering me either but I wonder what this indicates. Did you get responses to your question? I'd like to know where this condition is headed. Any body have a comment? thanks , I am Dustcatcher.

I get my head and sometimes my upper body wobbling about, is that classed as a tremor? it seems to occur when i'm.

in tremendous pain or very tired

I would like to apply for disability but I cant stop working while waiting to see if I can get it

I’m wondering if you might want to reach out to a disability lawyer and get a better feel for this

Im a ss newbie today marks 8 weeks since I was diagnosed although ive had symptoms that went undiagnosed for years. I get tremors occasionally ant nite , violent tremors. this morning for the first time I noticed uncontrollable shaking in my arms. Its scary stuff. Ive had neuro issues since 1998 which was the main reason that ss wasn’t diagnosed earlier. Ive had 4 discs replaced in my neck.

I had a 12 years fight for my disability due to a crap lawyer who was incompetent and the negligence of the social security system itself who erased me , I was never born , I didnt exist and my attorney just kept telling me to relax. I finally contacted a congressman whos advocate found out what the problem was. Eventually I received a huge award over 200,000 but between the greedy attys etc I actually received much less.

Hi Terry,

How are things going? Just wanted to check in and see if your tremors have improved/worsened. I wonder if you have decided to go on disability leave and if you have had success doing so.

I’ve had tremors too since being diagnosed with Sjogrens in 2012. Could be meds causing the tremors as well. It took me a while to file for disability as it was a hard pill to swallow that I would never work again. I was approved fairly quickly. Your doctor’s support, supportive tests, and limitations are crucial in winning your disability case.
