Has anyone shown to be deficient in Vitamins A and D?

Some research indicates that those who suffer from Sjogren's have low levels of Vitamins A and D.

The vitamin D deficiencies relates to neurological manifestations (clinical signs and symptoms caused by nervous system injury or dysfunction) and the presence of lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes), while the vitamin A levels were inversely associated with extra glandular manifestations (in addition to the exocrine glands, many other organs can be involved.

Vitamin A plays a role in a variety of functions throughout the body, such as:

  • Vision
  • Gene transcription
  • Immune function
  • Embryonic development and reproduction
  • Bone metabolism
  • Haematopoiesis
  • Antioxidant Activity

My GP did extensive blood tests looking for vitamin deficiencies, some were rare, but I'm not sure he checked vitamin A. All that he included came out normal, of course I take good pharmaceutical grade vitamins, as directed by my Chiro, and those guys are vitamin experts!
