Now that the holiday season is here and New Years fast approaching, what do you all do to celebrate? Traditions? One's you would like to change :) ? How do you stay sane and not get fatigued?
hello IM SARED MY THROAT AND NOSE SO DRY WONT GET RELEIF ALSO I HAVE SPASM IN THROATGETS TOGHT IS THIS HAPPEN.... PLEASE HELP HARD TO SLEEP SHEILA... THANK YOU
Wow Sheila, sorry to hear its so bad. I'm sure you've all of the normal tricks we use as far as humidifiers, saline sprays, etc to help coat the nasal passages and throat. If its that bad, you definitely need to get on the phone with your doc and see if he can prescribe something that may help more than home remedies. Please keep us posted....would like to hear that your season is Jolly, after all.
I'm really lucky that family live nearby, so we can all see each other without having to have guests staying over, and can all chip in and help! My fantastic 14 year old son is getting a whizz in the kitchen so he'll be helping too!
I think it's important to remember the peace, joy and goodwill of the season if we can!
And remember to stock up on prescriptions before the holidays!!
Ya know you're right about the prescriptions. Its a long weekend this holiday, two weeks in a row. Its easy to lose sight of that. I only have my brother's family here. We have no other family within 1000 miles. My ex's family was huge and all lived here but quite honestly I find our quiet holiday much more peaceful and happier overall. I have a place now to set up my Christmas village so I am totally excited about that. Can't wait to start decorating!!
You start decorating so early in the US! In the UK they didn't used to be put up until a week before, but it's getting earlier... we went on a trip to US a few years ago at the beginning of December and were amazed at the decorations- as soon as we got home ours went up to cheer ourselves up! Now we put ours up beginning of December every year!
Nice!! A lot of the towns put light up on their street poles and paint their windows right after Thanksgiving. I put up my tree & decorate the house two weeks before and usually end up taking it down right after New Years. I know a ton of people that do it right after Thanksgiving but that's too early for me. I am tired of it by Christmas if its that early. LOL. I'm just glad the stores are finally getting it that we don't want Christmas decorations out next to Halloween ones.
