Hi everyone, I have had a few episodes in my life that I had joint, muscle pain and fatigue. In the last year I also developed the signature signs of dry eyes and mouth. The rheumatologist diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I insisted on seeing an optometrist. She confirmed that my eyes where making no tears! With this news my rheum did order a lip biopsy that confirmed sjogrens. I did have to push to have the test I needed, so if your undiagnosed don't be afraid to be assertive. I was an plaqunil but developed a rash after 4 weeks. It did seem to help with all my symptoms. My rheum want me to discuss methotrexate next week's appointment. I am concerned about side effects. Would love to know if anyone is taking this, side effects, results and mg. Taking. I also am having interstitial cystitis vulvodynia. Working on watching my foods that worsen it. Using Premarin and have some relief but sure need more! Seeing a urologist tomorrow! Very challenging to see so may specialist and work full time! Well I could go on and on with various symptoms but I'm tired and my eyes are done for now. I so happy to find your group.
There may not be a ton of people on this site who have used methotrexate, but there certainly are on the other site that I’m on, for psoriatic arthritis. I took it for six months. It did not do much for me, and the side effects were uncomfortable. Usually drinking enough water and taking folic acid can really smooth out most side effects.

It is about rheumatoid arthritis, but I know that I found good info from this regarding methotrexate.
I appreciate the info and will check it out. Sorry to hear that it didn't do much for you.

Ann- I was switched to leflunomide, which is in the same class, and it has worked fairly well. The good news is that there are quite a few different medications available.
