Note the info under treatment for dry eyes and mouth. Ever heard of buckthorn oil? Everything sounds pretty helpful except for recommending Tuna! I love it, but not the mercury!
How interesting, SK. I printed it out to save. I'll try and find some of that oil he mentioned. I agree with you on the Tuna! And the Pacific Ocean has radiation in it now so anything from there, I don't want.
I have been taking Sea Buckthorn Oil for a year now; it has Omega-7 which is supposed to be very helpful in giving cellular and "lubricating" joints. It's been working very well and works best if you do a little exercise (like walking the dog, not anything strenuous).
I only take the Sea Buckthorn Oil rich in Omega-7. I heard Dr. Oz praising it for it's anti-inflammatory properties. And have read that it's beneficial for SS sufferers. I am taking Sibu Sea Buckthorn Oil and it is really making a difference, when I have gone without it (due to re-ordering too close to running out of it) the pain to hands, feet, and legs comes back full force.
And I have asked my daughter, who is brutally honest and loves me, if I smell differently to her or have "old people smell? Her reply was "you need to stop reading everything that people write on these sites!" Her words not mine!
But I do get the concerns and questions; I do my own research, I don't blindly follow Dr. Oz, I've caught him making some outrageous claims and after doing thorough research I found that there was misinformation or lack of disclosure on his part (and/or that of his staff).
I surely don't need the old people smell! When my mom had to go into the nursing home after the broken hip, the odors there had me heaving all the time!
I think the 'old people smell' is mostly from the kidneys and other organs failing slowly, and I think the toxins find their way out through the skin. I know most most animals smell as well, so I guess that's how it goes. But, like SK says, you put a bunch of them together and yeesh, I know what you mean. I hope I pass away in my sleep before I get an old lady smell.
That makes sense! When we go to Temple and while talking to elderly members, separately, they smell nice, clean, even fresh, but when visiting them at a retirement home in a group "yeesh" is the word! LOL SK, is right!!
