Rash

Ok, so a couple days ago I posted about a red itchy rash on my upper inner arm (not quite in my armpit, but almost). Today, when I woke up, it has blistered and it’s driving me crazy! The spots sting so bad! I haven’t changed deodorant or soaps or anything link that, so it tells me that it’s possibly connected to my new diagnosis of Sjogrens. Should I (can I) do anything for I? Does it sound like it’s connected possibly?

And it's definitely not poison ivy or something else like that? You don't need to have a change of what you use to experience a contact dermatitis. Your sensitivity to something could change. You can spot treat it with topical benadryl, cortisone cream, etc.

I'm also wondering about the possibility of shingles. No pain?

It definitely hurts!! Not poison ivy or anything like that. Can you still get shingles if you’ve had the chicken pox vaccine?

I would make an appointment to see the doctor. The short answer is that it probably is unrelated to Sjogren's, but the fact that you have a rash that is worsening, means that you should make an appointment to be seen.

And yes, you can definitely get shingles even if you've had the chicken pox vaccine. Actually, they aren't too sure how long immunity from the chicken pox vaccine actually lasts.

Thank you to everyone who chimed in about my rash issue…went to the doc this morning and it’s definitely shingles. Unfortunately, with my immune system not doing all that well, I contracted it.

Again thank you for the advice!
