I everyone, I am new here. I would like to find out what supplements others find that has helped with some of their symptoms. I take Vit D3, C, Fish oil 2,000 a day, Tumeric with black pepper, and I just added Glucosamine. Does anyone find that the Glucosamine helps or I am wasting my money? Also my hair is coming out...Anything I can take or use on it to help?
My primary doc put me on B-12, 3000u a day. I feel it helps with fatigue. I take D, and Biotin for hair. Although I have lost a great deal of hair. I Wear wigs mostly. I kind of live with the muscle pain. When it's really bad I take Maloxicam. (not sure about the spelling)

I take the tumeric with black pepper because its supposed to help with inflammation and I had already taken the fish oil but I update it to another thousand milligrams my RA said that should help I take plaqunil for the flares it does help with little to no side effects thanks again for the response it did help but least I know what to look for in what direction to go next
If you search in discussions for 'hair loss', there's been quite a few tips for that before.
Wao, I thought I was taking a lot of supplement... For hair loss, I found silica gel works the best. My sister who after having a baby lost a lot of her hair used it and was very happy with it.
I also take fish oil. I have increased my dose recently again as I was having more pain to 2400 mg three times a day. My first rheumy believed big time that fish oil was an anti-inflammatory. I also take glucosamine 2 tabs three times a day. I helps my joint pain. I also take 1 probiotic in am and 1 in pm.
My hair fell out when I wasn't taking enough thyroid supplement. Have you had your thyroid checked. Of course other things can also contribute to hair loss.
Good luck with your treatment. I know what works for one person may not work for another but fish oil and glucosamine should be pretty safe supplements to try.
Let us know how you are doing.
I take this suppliment called Zyflemend—for inflamation and immune support–given by the integrative medicine doc at the cleveland clinic. He also recommended 5-loxin. Sometimes that is added to Gloucosimine supps so goggle them and see if they might be good for you. I think they both help.

How do you take the turmeric and black pepper? Is the pepper in the form you buy at the grocery store?

Della,
Yes the Turmeric has black pepper has it in the turmeric. When I 1st bought it I didn't buy the brand that had black pepper but I was researching and found that if you take black pepper it helps the turmeric to dissolve I believe. So when I needed more I ordered it on line with black pepper. Before it I would put some pepper on a spoon and take it with the turmeric. Don't know if it really helps but adding black pepper was not that big of a deal.

I bought my cur-cumin tumeric c3 with biopurine. From my understanding the biopurine or black pepper allow for a high rate of absorption. The one I bought had over 700 positive reviews so I tried it and sofar I think it helps.
I also take Omega 3 high Epa from NutraSea, 2 teaspoon a day and 1 probiotic, HMF intensive. During flare up, I take 3 pills of curamin +Dlpa, and eat a lot of curcuma which I put in every meal. Now I do not have intense pain during flare up like I used to have, just tenderness. So I believe the supplements and physical activity really help. I walk every day for an hour, I do aqua gym, one or twice a week and I dance also each week. I have exercise with a physiotherapist twice a week. The more active I am the better I feel, the less flare up I have... So my new mantra is keep moving...
